An implementation of Heegaard Diagrams

A software platform for the construction and study of three dimensional manifold structures and more generally, of two dimensional cell complexes is presented. Interactive operations allow the construction of 3-manifold spaces in planar form. Manifold invariants, based upon the diagrams and their associated presentations are constructed directly. The package incorporates the operations defined by J. Singer. This package enables a user to graphically define and apply 3-manifold operations in the context of Heegaard Diagrams.
