Equivalence of Lyapunov matrix equations for continuous and discrete systems

It is shown that, through the transformation B=(A+I)(A−I)−1, the Lyapunov matrix equations for continuous and discrete systems A'L+LA=−C and A'LA−L=−C, respectively, may be converted one to the other.
