Analysis of collision probabilities for saturated IEEE 802.11 MAC protocol
Chee Sian Kuan, Kaharudin Dimyati · Electronics Letters · 2006
A model to accurately analyse collision probabilities of 802.11 under saturated traffic assumption is presented. Two key probabilities governing collisions are defined to reflect the different collision probabilities based on whether the channel was busy or idle. The resulting model significantly differs from other models that have appeared in the literature. Simulation results are used to validate the accuracy of the proposed model.
