The first element of security

Trying to provide a definition, even incomplete, of the password I can say that is essentially a succession of characters only known by the person authorized for its use, to authenticate the identification of the user of the information systems and consequently access for them to their different appointed resources. In other words, after the user has typed his own user ID identifying himself, the system requires the input of a password to further verify the authentication.
