Assembly language at Potsdam College
Ted Tenny · ACM SIGCSE Bulletin · 1980
Assembly language is reconciled with high-level programming concepts through the use of subroutines, designed by the student with PL/I as a meta-language and implemented in assembly language on the IBM 360. The student's subroutine is linked to a grading program, prepared by the instructor, which generates pseudo-random test data for a sequence of cases, calls the student's subroutine, and prints the results.
