AUDIO TONE GENERATORS for telephone network applications often have stringent requirements for precise frequency control and for low harmonic distortion (particularly in harmonics which lie below 3 kHz). An NMOS circuit technique which is compatible with such requirements and also with digital LSI circuits, will be described.
