Lighting for high-speed cine photography

Three novel forms of lighting are described which produce the high intensities of light required for high-speed cine photography at 10000 pictures s -1 . They involve inexpensive, conventional equipment used in a novel way to solve particular problems, but the methods used should have a wide general application.
