The Description of Characteristics of matrix-valued wavelet packet bases

In this paper, we introduce matrix-valued multi-resolution analysis and orthogonal matrix-valued wavelet packets. A procedure of the construction of orthogonal matrix-valued wavelet packets is presented. The properties of matrix-valued wavelet packets are characterized. Moreover, a new orthogonal basis of L2(R,Cs×s) is obtained from these wavelet packets.
