Sampled data systems on M2L2: The quadratic cost formulation for linear delay systems

Elena M. Fernandez-Berdaguer, E. Lee · 1983

Infinite dimensional discrete-time systems which arise from sampling of a delay system on M2xL2 can be enlarged into an equivalent system of finite dimensional equations. The finite dimensional reformulation of the quadratic cost problem can be exploited to yield a feedback synthesis. The quadratic formulation considered involves delays in the control action, delays in the observation and internal system delays.
