Thickness and conductivity measurement of sheets of nonferrous metals

The paper describes a noncontact thickness gauge for nonferrous sheet metals. By operating at a frequency where the sheet is electrically thick it is possible to measure separately the thickness and conductivity. Theoretical and practical models of the gauge are examined.
