Assessing the Reliability of Computer Software and Computer Networks: An Opportunity for Partnership with Computer Scientists

In this article we highlight three areas that are of importance in computer science and in which statisticians and applied probabilists can make valuable contributions. We outline these areas, survey the developments, and point out some of the unresolved problems.
