This paper investigates the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation using array antenna with large inter-element spacing. The estimation technique is based on the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) algorithm. Since the inter-element spacing is larger than signal wavelength, there are multiple peaks in the MUSIC spectrum. By partitioning the non-uniformly spaced array into proper subsets, the peaks of the MUSIC spectrums will differ per subset. The signal's DOA can be determined by the common peak of the different subsets. The effect of signal to noise ratio (SNR) and integration time are discussed in this paper.
