A simple derivation of the MacWilliams' identity for linear codes (Corresp.)

A simple derivation is given of the MacWilliams' identity relating the weight distribution of the codewords in a linear code and the weight distribution of the dual code. The derivation is based upon elementary probabilistic arguments.
