The credible distribution function is an admissible bayes rule

Benjamin Zehnwirth · Scandinavian Actuarial Journal · 1978

The present investigation shows that the credible distribution formula developed by Jewell (1973) is an admissible Bayes rule within a non-parametric context. The analysis relies fundamentally on Ferguson's (1972) .Dirichlet process and on Blyth's (1951) standard result connecting Bayesianity and admissibility.
