Quality Improvement Monitors for Histologic Surgical Preparations
Peter A. Larsen, Lauren M. Bartlett, Paul D. Bozzo · Journal of Histotechnology · 2004
A method of quality improvement for histology is presented. The process requires a team effort involving the histotechnicians as wellas the pathologists. The monitor is ongoing (daily), comprehensive, and allows for easy recognition of trends. Monitors contributing to better quality histology promote more accurate diagnosis, which has a direct relation to improved patient care.
