Convergence of an element‐partitioned subcycling algorithm for the semi‐discrete heat equation

Abstract A convergence analysis is performed for an element‐partitioned subcycling algorithm for the semi‐discrete heat equation. It is shown that the algorithm generally attains first‐order rate‐of‐convergence.
