Statistical parameter flexibility for processing navigation data
David Vidal, Annio Moreno · The Leading Edge · 2010
If the positioning of streamers during a marine seismic survey has been influenced by strong sea currents, processing navigation data can be difficult and significantly impact data quality. Normal quality control procedures often reject data that fail to meet nominal positioning criteria. This paper discusses a method for reconstructing the positioning data for shots which would otherwise have been discarded.
