Stability index of invariant subspaced of matrices
André C. M. Ran, Leiba Rodman, Arthur L. Rubin · Linear and Multilinear Algebra · 1993
Let A be an n × n nonderogatory matrix. Given an A-invariant subspace M, we identify the best possible rate of convergence Mm →M, where for =1,2,…M m is a Bm -invariant subspace, and is any sequence of matrices converging to A. Thereby the stability of a stable invariant subspace is cimpletely described (the problems concerning the stability index have been raised in [7]).
