Note on the Asymptotic Behavior of Multidimensional Laplace Integrals
L. A. Skinner · SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis · 1980
The leading terms of a uniformly valid asymptotic expansion for a class of multidimensional integrals of Laplace type are obtained by a procedure derived from singular perturbation theory. The expansion describes the smooth transition between distinctly different forms of asymptotic behavior which occurs when the critical point of the integrand crosses the boundary of the domain of integration.
