On travelling together and sharing expenses (examples of investigation of situations)

This paper describes real-life investigations, encouraging both teachers and students to consider possible solutions which require a grasp of the whole situation. The examples used require questioning and analysis and an overview of several factors to determine the optimum solution in each case.
