A schema-less spatio-temporal database system

Several disciplines such as medicine, education, engineering, and science use video to convey infonnation to users.The nature of video demands a schema-less data model that allows any user to represent descriptive information associated to any video in a flexible manner.This paper introduces a conceptual model and a query language that satisfies the demands of video and accommodates its temporal and spatial characteristics.Additionally, it introduces a novel representation of the spatial characteristics of rendered objects that significantly improves accuracy of query results in respect to the bounding box representation.
