DISCRIM INANT ANALYSIS OF THE DRUG-INDUCED EEG CHANGES BY THE USE OF AN ELECTRONIC FREQUENCY ANALYSER

Takashi Ban, Masakazu Hojo · The Japanese Journal of Pharmacology · 1971

In the studies of the EEG by the use of an electronic frequency analyser, the changes of the state from one to the other are usually reflected not only in the changes in one particular wave component but also in those of many of the components of which the patterns are composed. The neocortical and hippocampal alert patterns of the EEG in rabbits, for example, showed an enhancement not only of the θ wave component but also of the β wave component, as well as a reduction of the δ wave component, as compared with those resting patterns (1).
