Dynamic time-based handover management in LEO satellite systems

A handover scheme tailored for LEO satellite systems is proposed and evaluated. The proposed algorithm capitalises on the deterministic topology of this type of system in order to increase channel utilisation and diminish both blocking and forced termination probabilities.
