“What we are really doing (in computer graphics) is some kind of communication with a person,” said David Evans of Evans and Sutherland Computer Corporation, speaking to a large panel audience at Siggraph 84 last summer. “You have to know something about the person, as well as something about the picture, if you are going to communicate successfully.”
