A SEMANTIC ANALYSIS OF SOME LOCATIVE CONCEPTS IN CHINESE The representation of meaning in natural languages is quite a complex task, which can only be achieved by means of approximative model constructions within the frame of a powerful formalism. This paper provides an introduction to some basic locative concepts, in the formal apparatus of lambda-calculus.
