Parallel multidimensional bisection

A parallel framework of the multidimensional bisection global optimization method of Wood is presented. The idea is to split the bracketing region between processors, thus achieving parallel function evaluations. Using an OCCAM-2 implementation on the Hathi-2 multitransputer system we explore some different strategies for load balancing and present some results. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
