Multiresolution Image Coding For Wireless Channel

In this paper, pyramid coding with AMBTC for the base band and geometric VQ for the high bands is proposed for the digital European cordless telecommunication (DECT) system. The impact of the channel fading on this technique is investigated at different BER. The received image is reconstructed with a high visual quality at rate of 0.3873 bpp and SNR of 36.73 dB
