JUSTIFICATION OF THE LINEARIZATION METHOD IN THE FLOW PROBLEM

The linearization method is justified in the problem of flow of viscous incompressible fluid past a body. As a preliminarily the Oseen operator is investigated, and estimates are established for its resolvent and the semigroup generated by it.
