An agent approach to designing protection systems

This paper introduces an intelligent multiagent system which designs protection schemes for power systems (or a part of a power system) and provides an explanation to the solution proposed. A prototype system has been built and is presented to give a better understanding of the successful application of agent technology in the area of power system protection CAD.
