Multiscale image enhancement using the logarithmic image processing model

A multiscale image decomposition and enhancement algorithm is presented. This algorithm is developed using a mathematical structure called the logarithmic image processing model. This algorithm is a novel approach to improving image contrast, yet at the same time achieving noise suppression.
