On an ILL-posed problem in nonlinear heat conduction

An estimate for the thickness and temperature of a vertical sheet of cold ice1, given data on only two points of the upper boundary, is performed. The temperature continuous dependence with respect to the data in a suitable weighted L 2 —norm is studied.
