Affine Anosov actions.

A general procedure is given for constructing examples of affine Anosov actions on tori which have a dense set of periodic points, but no fixed-points for the full group action. Homological criterion for the existence of periodic orbits are also discussed in the generality of affine actions on compact nilmanifolds.
