Problems of portability of Fortran programs and subprograms are considered The main emphasis is on subprograms that are implementations of mathematical and statistical algorithms.Specific portability problems are discussed and solutions proposed.An approach which allows computer processing of programs and subprograms to obtain their correct form for a specific computer-compiler environment is studied in detail.
