Some compiler-compiler techniques for use in extensible languages

This short note aims at introducing the use of some syntax-directed compiler-compiler techniques in extensible languages. At first, it attempts to do this independently of any particular extensible language. In the last section, an example of the use of the technique in PPL is presented.
