Two-dimensional IIR filters for exact reconstruction in tree-structured sub-band decomposition

A procedure for exact reconstruction of a two-dimensional signal after a tree-structured sub-band decomposition is presented. The use of two-dimensional IIR filters derived from one-dimensional allpass building blocks, allowing separable processing along the diagonals, is described.
