Some Promising Directions In Parallel Processing Research

H.J. Whitehouse · Proceedings of SPIE, the International Society for Optical Engineering/Proceedings of SPIE · 1984

Selected parallel pipelined signal processing architectures are reviewed. These architectures are discussed in terms of the algorithms used and the methods of implementation whether analog or digital. The role of systolic arrays and wavefront processors in implementing matrix computations is discussed. Future directions of research are indicated.
