A top down analysis technique for parallel systems
John R. Clymer, Richard E. Perdue · Annual Simulation Symposium · 1974
The top-down analysis technique provides a new approach for the synthesis of system models. A modified, context-free grammar is used as a means of formally describing the operation of the system which can be translated into a Markov chain model or a simulation by mechanical means. To demonstrate the use of a grammar as a system notation, the top-down analysis of a multi-processor computer system is presented.
