Two-part names and process termination

A local distributed operating system is provided that supports among others the efficient migration of processes. At one point in the design of the system the problem of termination of a remote process is considered. A particular naming scheme is introduced which is chosen for the system. It is shown how it affects the solutions to the process termination problem.
