Hierarchical GRID interpolation under hyperspectral images compression

We analyze the ability to use a compression method based on the hierarchical grid interpolation for compression of hyperspectral images. To increase the method efficiency, we suggest an approximation of spectral channels. We give recommendations on the parameters setting for our method. We carried out computational experiments allowing us to compare the proposed compression method with the JPEG method.
