A model of a two-phase chemically inhomogeneous ferromagnetic particle with a strong interphase exchange interaction is suggested, which permits one to study in detail layered distributions of magnetization in grains having the form of a rectangular parallelepiped. Based on this model, we have studied some features of the asymmetry of the domain structure of inhomogeneous particles and have given their qualitative explanation. We have shown that the presence of even a thin weakly anisotropic layer on the surface of the particle can destroy the single-domain state, whereas the production of a highly anisotropic layer does not lead to the back effect and cannot be used to increase the single-domain size.
