On the Second Life-based education in virtual world

Second life is a 3-D social virtual world and a new education tool. This article stresses the importance of developing and implementing of the Second life-based education in virtual world. In this article, several major aspects of the second life-based education and a number of important issues have been addressed. The features of the second life-based education to compare with the traditional online education are analyzed, and some practical suggestions to enhance the second Life-based education are provided. The authors believe that the second Life-based education will be more and more popularized in future.
