Wavefields of hypergaussian screens

Abstract We present an analytical formula that describes the wavefield behind a screen, whose amplitude transmittance is a hyper‐Gaussian function of any order n. Our results suggest a method for achieving high irradiance concentrations. © 1993 John Wiley & sons, Inc.
