Quantisation errors in digital filters and their dependence on sampling frequency

This article examines the three sources of quantisation error in digital filters for three filter structures and presents expressions for their evaluation. The effect on these expressions of changing the sampling interval is assessed and it is shown which types of quantisation error increase and which decrease with sampling frequency and how this depends upon filter structure.
