Nonuniform Embedded QAM for Video Transmission

Nonuniform Embedded QAM is proposed for transmission of video sequence. The characteristics of such scheme is to increase the modulation distance of the motion vector and lower frequency coefficients at the sacrifice of the higher frequency coefficients. This will result in better received image quality and make the required subsequent error concealment much simplfied.
