Brief communication Further improvement in a counting and direction-sensing circuit

A novel counting and direction-sensing circuit is described. The pair of input waveforms are allowed to act as the logic gate controller as well as the counting pulse generator. In comparison with a previously reported circuit, the number of the counting pulses in a given direction is further increased by a factor of two. Hence, we report a further improvement in the counting and direction-sensing circuit for numerical control systems.
