Architectures for fast encoding and error detection of cyclic codes

Series-parallel m-sequence generation theory is adapted and applied to cyclic codes, enabling alternative architectures for fast encoding and error detection to be identified. A comparison is effected with conventional encoding and errordetection circuits based on speed and complexity calculations.
