A Hierarchical File System for Embedded System

Nowadays, high capacity storage system serves as the basic and key means for multiple applications on mobile embedded system. For high capacity, obviously, microdrive is the best choice. But excessive power consumption is a major barrier to the acceptance of hard disks in mobile embedded system. In this paper, a new hierarchical file system is introduced, which is power-efficient and overcomes capacity-limit.Copyright © 2005 by ASME
