A dynamic admittance meter based on a voltage controlled oscillator IC

R. W. Budding, L. Strackee · Review of Scientific Instruments · 1975

A simple and versatile admittance meter is described, wich is built around a commercially available voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). The instrument measures the real and imaginary part of an unknown admittance separately in the frequency range from 1 kHz up to 1 MHz. A compensating admittance can be inserted in order to improve the precision of the measurement. The accuracy of the instrument is estimated as better than 3%.
