A systematic partitioning method for mapping iterative algorithms, characterized by constant dependencies, into fixed-size regular processor arrays is proposed. The allocation of the operations to the processors and their execution sequence is determined by means of quasilinear functions of the loop indices, avoiding thus the drawbacks of the modulus function. The derivation of these functions is formulated as a simple linear programming problem.
