An Optimal Simulation of Counter Machines

Each multicounter machine can be simulated by an oblivious one-head tape unit in real-time, using logarithmic space. The solution uses redundant symmetric number representation and implicit recursion. It represents a new positional representation for (vectors of) the integers.
